Is the moss inside real?

Yes, The plants seen inside Living Lights are real living moss

Is the water inside real?

No. The water and waterfall inside Living Lights is artificial, we found this works best to keep the entire ecosystem as low maintenance as possible.

Is it difficult to maintain?

No. Moss is a very resilient low maintenance plant which basically just needs to be in a cool moist environment outside of direct sunlight. This simply means keep the lid on, spray with a mist of water from time to time if the moss dries out and leave it in a place outside of direct sunlight.

How to water?

Using a spray bottle or misting bottle (buy now) simply spray with spring water or mineral water, when the moss starts to dry out.

Do you have ones with artificial plants?

Yes, Despite the fact they are extremely easy to maintain some people still prefer to have something that requires no maintenance. This is why we sell custom orders with preserved Moss which essentially looks the same but doesn’t require any maintenance.

How long do the plants live for?

Given the right conditions and proper maintenance the plants should survive for years. Please read detailed maintenance guide with your order

How does the light inside work?

The light used is a battery operated LED light with wireless remote control. The remote features a dimmer switch with two light levels and works for up to 10m (unobstructed).

Does the light keep the moss alive?

Not exactly. The light is not designed to keep the moss alive. As long as there's a small amount of filtered light the moss should be fine. However if the moss is not getting enough light it LED light can help.

Despite what a lot of people think moss still needs light to survive and the low light emitted from the LED light used only helps the moss.

Can it be shipped?

Yes. We provide free shipping Australia wide. Living Lights are created and packaged in a way that they can easily be shipped without anything coming loose inside or becoming damaged inside.

How much is shipping?

We provide free shipping Australia wide by courier.

How Long does it take to arrive?

As all items are handmade and made to order please allow 10 business days.

Do you accept returns?

No. We don't accept returns, but please get in touch if you have any issues with your order.

What if my order is damaged during shipping?

If you're order has been damaged from shipping you may be eligible for a refund or replacement. If this is the case please contact us immediately after you receive your order.

Maintenance

Simply place your Living Light out of direct sunlight with the lid on. Give a light spray with spring or mineral water 1-2 times per week to maintain a cool and humid environment inside.
